Pemberton Ice Cap...

Last week we went up to the Pemberton ice cap with Dufficy, Gaetan and Benji. Duff and Benji hit a jump that looked like a massive diving board. The day crapped out on us by mid afternoon but we were able to get a few shots in the bag before heading into the trees.

End of the world jump with the ice cap in the background.

Benji was the first to hit this one.

After the light went to shit we hit up some tree bonks.

Darcy was up capturing the moment.

Gaetan was trying a cross court transfer into this tight transition.

Greasing the wheels...

We just came off a pretty nice week of filming up here in BC's backcountry. Conditions were prime and our crews were itching to ride some pow. Didn't really bother building any booters just wanted to strap in and session natural lines and drops.

Our crew for one of the days was Dufficy, Benji, Gaetan and Chris Rasman. Here are a few pics from one day filming.

We took up Gerhard Gross from SBC magazine this day so look out for a video he is going to release in the near future about shooting with Alterna.

One minute earlier Benji was in mid method can you tell?

Duff giving the rookie some pointers...

Gaetan prepping an early season cliff drop. We have never shot this cliff but have sledded by it for years, Gaetan has a plethora of knowledge when it comes to zones anywhere around Whistler.

The infamous smile is back!
After an injury to his arm last season Duff is back on the crew for 2010.

Oyster hunting with Benji his bro and Rencz...

Benji had been wanting to go out fishing before he headed back to his homeland of Quebec. So we went fishing yesterday with Mikey Rencz and the Ritchie brothers. Fishing wasnt too hot instead we loaded up with Oysters and tipped a few back for some end of season R&R.

Now its time to edit...

Elektro studio shoot...

Almost a perfect shoot...

Our studio shoot for Elektro is now over and went almost to perfection. We had a rare opportunity to have all the featured riders in Elektro for one day in a pretty slick looking studio.  Many thanks to all who helped out making this one of the most productive and fun shoots of the year.

We will be posting more photos from the shoot as the release of Elektro approaches also look out for more behind the scenes photos and video on push.ca, twsnow.com and sbc magazine.

Win a free download of your choice Vol 2

Ok time to give away another Alterna Download of your choice. So we were in the backcountry the other day and I saw something pretty bizarre in a photo I took. First one to point out what is unique in this photo wins.

Deep one...

Yesterday was probably the deepest day of the year we spent a good part of the morning getting to the alpine but once we were there it was on. Everyone got shots so that element of the day went really well; however, at the end of the day for some reason Scarth's sled wouldnt run, so we had to double him out. Long day but very productive need to bag a few more of these days in the next few before we leave to Europe.

It's been crazy

It's been a crazy past couple of weeks - Ullr has blessed us with snow, and blue skies; but just as quickly as they come - they disappear. . .

We've been making the best of our winter though, having frequent interior trips, and plenty of Whistler backcountry sessions! We've recently teamed up with Sims rider Gaetan Chanut, Billabong rider Benji Ritchie, and Nikita rider Vera Janssen, adding a few new faces to already familiar Alterna Films Crew.

Matt Belzile has returned back from the "Ante Up" at C.O.P. in Calgary after placing fifth and winning some money!

Tadej Valentan has just left Whistler to embark on a European trip with outerwear sponsor Horsefeathers ! Look out for him on the road - I think he took his new bike!
